The Connect Community

Finding Hope & Strength After October 7th

In the wake of October 7th, Connect Israel deepened its commitment to unity and resilience by adopting three kibbutzim directly impacted by the attacks—Nir Am, Nahal Oz, and Holit.

American and Israeli members of our community came together to listen to the stories of survival, strength, and bravery from those directly impacted. In partnership with these communities, Connect Israel is helping support their early childhood development programs—an area of urgent need that aligns deeply with our mission and values.

Now more than ever, Connect Israel stands for connection, compassion, and a shared commitment to rebuilding and healing together.

In a recent Jewish Journal article written by Ryan Torook, Metuka Benjamin, founder of Connect Israel, emphasized the importance of fostering enduring relationships between young Jewish professionals in the U.S. and Israel.

As Benjamin aptly stated, “My goal is that the American-Jewish visionaries of tomorrow have a lifelong relationship with the State of Israel... We’re investing in a Jewish future.”
